I. Classification of cosmetic glass bottles:
Cosmetic glass bottles are classified into wide-mouth bottles and narrow-mouth bottles. Wide-mouth bottles are generally used for solid paste, and they are to go with aluminized caps or plastic caps. The caps adopt effects such as color spraying. Narrow-mouth bottles are generally used for emulsions or aqueous creams, and pump heads should be used. To prevent rusting springs and ball bearings, now most pump heads use glass beads, but it is usually necessary to perform material body applicability tests. For example, a cap needs a stopper, water agent should use small hole inner plug, and thicker emulsion should use large hole inner plug.
Common shapes of cosmetic glass bottles: cylindrical shape, oval shape, flat shape, prismatic shape, tapered shape, etc.
Plastic bottle packaging manufacturers often develop a series of bottle shapes. The technologies of bottle bodies include spraying technology, transparent technology, frosted technology, translucent color modulation, silk screen printing, gilding, silver plating and so on. There are usually two kinds of glass screen printings for cosmetic packaging: One is high temperature ink screen printing. This technology is not easy to decolorize, the color is duller, and it is more difficult to produce purple color effect; the other one is low temperature ink screen printing. This technology produces bright colors and the requirements for ink are higher, otherwise the ink is inclined to fall off. However, special attention is needed to disinfection of the bottles applying this technology.
II. Matters to be noticed in cosmetic glass bottles
1. Manual-processed glass bottles: If the
cosmetic glass bottles are made by manual mould, there will be deviation in the capacity. When selecting a glass bottle, it should be tested and marked with correct capacity. The cosmetic glass bottles made by automatic production line are more uniform, but the output requirement is higher and the cycle is relatively longer, while the capacity is more stable.
2. Thickness of glass bottles: The cosmetic glass bottles with uneven thickness will easily be damaged, or they can be crushed by contents in cold temperature. Optimum carrying capacity should be tested at filling, and paper packs should be applied to separate them in transportation. The products should be equipped with color boxes, so that the inner and middle boxes can play a better shock-proof role.
3. Sealing of glass bottles: Cosmetic glass bottle caps can adopt technologies such as anodized engraving, hot stamping, etching lines, etc. There are matt style and glossy style. Gasket and inner cover are required. It is recommended to use pressure sensitive tablets to strengthen the sealing effect.
4. Special glass bottles for essential oil: Essential oil bottles are usually made of tawny or colored and colored
frosted glass bottles for cosmetic packaging to avoid light; there is a safety ring on the cover and an inner plug or an eyedropper can be matched. Cosmetic packaging glass materials for perfume bottles are generally equipped with delicate spray pump heads or plastic covers.
